Abstract Background: Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) patient anecdotes and case reports indicate that cannabinoid-based medicines (CBMs) may alleviate pain and pruritus and improve wound healing. CBM use has not been characterized in the EB patient population. Objectives: To evaluate CBM use among EB patients, including CBM types, efects on symptoms (e.g., pain and pruritus), disease process (e.g., blistering, wounds, and infammation), well-being (e.g., sleep, appetite) and concomitant medications. Abstract Chronic kidney disease (CKD) concerns millions of individuals worldwide, with few therapeutic strategies available to date. Recent evidence suggests that the endocannabinoid system (ECS) could be a new therapeutic target to prevent CKD. ECS combines receptors, cannabinoid receptor type 1 (CB1R) and type 2 (CB2R), and ligands.
