Abstract
in English, French
Cannabis is one of the world’s most widely consumed illicit substances. In addition to being widely available, its potency has increased up to 100-fold over the last 25 years. In parallel with these plant breeding efforts, artificial products called synthetic cannabinoids (SC) have been developed in laboratories. They are more potent and dangerous than natural cannabis. This article focuses on the risks associated with SC use, their treatment, and screening from the perspective of emergency or primary care physicians.
