Every week, families reach out to Realm of Caring during moments of panic, uncertainty, and urgent decision-making. They are navigating complex conditions, multiple medications, and cannabinoid use often without guidance from medical providers, regulators, or researchers.
When no one else is available to help, we answer the phone.
This February, we invite you to be part of an initiative rooted in connection, care, and ethical research to ensure patients receive real-time support while advancing evidence the medical system has not yet caught up to.
Why This Matters
Patients using cannabinoid therapies are often forced to make decisions alone:
- Medical providers lack training or time to discuss cannabis use
- Research on commercially available products is limited
- Policymakers and industry move slowly
But patients do not have the luxury of waiting.
Realm of Caring exists to fill this gap by providing immediate, no-cost education and transforming real-world patient experiences into meaningful research.
Our February Goal
$75,000 to support 3,000 patients
Every $25 raised provides one patient with either:
- One hour of live, one-on-one support with a trained Realm of Caring care team member, or
- Compensation for participating in observational research**, honoring their time and lived experience
Patients are never asked to give without receiving.
This is ethical, patient-first research and care working together.
A Snapshot of Our Research
Realm of Caring conducts observational, real-world research focused on how patients are actually using commercially available cannabinoid products, often alongside conventional therapies.
Our current research priorities include:
- Safety, tolerability, and patterns of use in complex conditions (including epilepsy and chronic neurological disorders)
- Product formulation, dosing considerations, and drug–drug interactions
- Patient-reported outcomes that are often missing from traditional clinical trials
This research exists because patients are already using these products without guidance, without data, and often without support. We ensure participants are compensated for their time, and that findings are translated into practical, evidence-informed education for patients, providers, and policymakers.
