Colorado Governor Jared Polis and the Colorado General Assembly declared April 7th to be forever known as Charlotte Figi Day in 2020. This April 7th, 2021, Coloradans remembered Charlotte, who passed just a year ago at the young age of 13.
Colorado Legislators took pause on Legislative Day 054 in both the House and the Senate to pay tribute to Charlotte and her family and what she accomplished in her short life for millions across the globe.
Representative Hooton and Representative Ransom celebrated the perseverance it took to get legislation passed to allow cannabis use for chronic and debilitating conditions.
Senator Gonzalez and Senate Minority Leader Holbert recognized Charlotte in that she “impacted millions of lives in Colorado and across the globe as a cannabis pioneer patient”, noting that “Charlotte was the inspiration for Realm of Caring, a nonprofit established to guide families through their healing journey with cannabis-based medicine.”
